Functional Analyst, SAP RH

Job Summary

The HR Systems Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day management of computerized human resource systems. He or she oversees the design, the realisation, the test, and the delivery of SAP based HR solutions in close collaboration with the entire team. The nature of the activities is focused on HR solutions optimization projects which consists of several evolving requests for solutions and applications already in place or to be implemented. These solutions will be mainly related to the Payroll, Organization Management and Benefits modules of the SAP system, and to the various interfaces affecting HR data.  The HR Systems Analyst ensures the integrity and accuracy of HR data.

Key Accountabilities

  • Propose and design SAP solutions as part of IT projects and various change requests.
  • Develop work plan and necessary actions to implement the solutions that meet the needs in a timely manner.
  • Estimate and validate the efforts required for the development of the solution.
  • Align with teams from other internal or external systems, which are impacted by the solution to be implemented.
  • Create functional specifications for solution development (ABAP, PI, others).
  • Configure the various SAP modules used: Payroll, Organisation Management, Benefits and Time Management.
  • Create, perform, and validate unit tests, integrated tests (process/integration between various systems) and regression tests.
  • Document tests to obtain customer approval.
  • Document the solutions according to methodologies already in use.
  • Keep system documentation up to date.
  • Develop and update training materials as needed and train users when required.
  • Act as a level 1, 2 and 3, resource person in the SAP HR and Payroll area of expertise for the HR, Payroll and Operations departments.
  • Create mass data imports and corrections.
  • Perform data integrity checks throughout the system, analyze results and implement necessary modifications for both processes and user knowledge.  Design control tools if necessary.
  • Assign security roles and permissions to users and keep the list of information up to date.
  • Implementation of Support Packs, changes in legislation and year-end payroll.

Job Requirements

  • Five (5) years of experience in the configuration of the Payroll, Organisation Management and Benefits insurance of SAP.
  • Experience with maintaining, optimizing, and developing interfaces with SAP employee data.
  • Ability to quickly diagnose and solve problems, identify opportunities, and propose recommendations in a very complex environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deal with multiple dossiers simultaneously.
  • Capable of carrying out projects entrusted to him or her while respecting deadlines and budgets.
  • Thorough and detail oriented.
  • Results oriented and action driven.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Experience with Excel and ability to handle data from multiple sources.
  • Experience with Time management of SAP (an asset).
  • Experience with SuccessFactors and his integration with SAP (an asset).
  • Knowledge with the use of CONCUR (an asset).
  • Bilingualism French and English (oral and written).
