Technician, IT Equipment Configuration
Job Summary
Reporting to the Team Lead, Equipment Configuration, the IT Equipment Configuration Technician is responsible for configuring IT equipment for store openings, renovations, and repairs. This includes troubleshooting, executing the RMA process, and performing software updates. Additionally, the technician ensures the quality of items and equipment sent to stores and acts as a point of contact with service providers and ensures all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
Key Accountabilities
- Install and configure software, tools, and applications for IT equipment;
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues, documenting actions in the ticketing system;
- Manage RMA processes for defective equipment;
- Perform software and hardware updates to maintain system performance and security;
- Track and follow up on repair orders with vendors.
Job Requirements
- Diploma, AEC or DEC in IT, or equivalent experience;
- Knowledge of integrated management systems is an asset;
- Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of ServiceNow is an asset;
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities effectively;
- Ability to multitask and handle multiple projects simultaneously;
- Independent, detail-oriented, and quality-focused;
- Strong problem-solving skills;
- Ability to adapt quickly and learn new solutions or equipment introduced in stores;
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment (distribution center);
- Team player with strong collaboration skills;
- Strong customer service orientation; and
- Physical ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
