Team Lead, Network Evolution
Job Summary
As the Team Lead, Network Evolution, you will play a key role in transforming the organization's network infrastructure. You will be responsible for managing a team of network architects and will provide both technical and organizational leadership for all projects involving network components. You will also serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external partners in a constantly evolving environment where a broad understanding of infrastructure and strong prioritization skills are essential.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead and motivate a team of network architects, ensuring task planning, delegation, mentoring, and skills development.
- Design and evolve the organization's network architecture by integrating new technologies (SD-WAN, enhanced security, virtualization, etc.).
- Collaborate with external consultants and technology partners on network integration or transformation projects.
- Act as the main point of contact for all projects involving network components, working closely with IT teams, cybersecurity, business project teams, and senior management.
- Assess the impact of changes and planned maintenance on the operational environment and coordinate execution to minimize risks.
- Quickly gain a comprehensive understanding of the IT infrastructure to ensure solution consistency and interoperability.
- Operate in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Continuously monitor emerging technologies to propose relevant improvements and innovations.
Job Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
- Significant experience (10+ years) in network architecture or engineering, including at least 5 years in a leadership or team management role.
- Expertise in the design, evolution, and security of complex network infrastructures (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, firewalls, etc.).
- In-depth knowledge of network security standards, hybrid environments (on-premise and cloud), and network management tools.
- Strong analytical, synthesis, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, collaborative leadership, and change management capabilities.
