Supervisor, Security
Job Summary
Reporting to the Loss Prevention Manager, the Supervisor acts as the point of contact for safety and loss prevention for the distribution centre. He or she supervises the team of security guards and works with external partners, including security agencies, consultants, law enforcement agencies, and various suppliers to ensure the security of the distribution centre.
Key Accountabilities
- Visit the Distribution Centre;
- Use existing tools to assess and correct problems and bad practices;
- Support department-initiated investigations into potential fraud, as well as risks and threats to the company;
- Participate in hiring;
- Train and integrate new guards;
- Supervise P-7 agents;
- Assess the security guard's performance;
- Reconcile the daily reports;
- Attend operations and loss prevention department meetings;
- Handling video requests;
- Compile health and safety data;
- Report incidents;
- Manage evacuations;
- Give first aid when needed;
- Help emergency services;
- Carry out alarm tests;
- Video surveillance;
- Make sure first-aid kits are well stocked;
- Prepare to respond to emergencies;
- Perform pump tests;
- Perform weekly verification.
Job Requirements
- 5 to 10 years of experience in security and loss prevention;
- Tactic abilities;
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
