Specialist, Conveyor
Job Summary
Reporting to the Senior Manager, the Conveyor Specialist will work on a wide range of maintenance activities that are carried out to ensure the efficient and effective operation of conveyor-related facilities. By optimizing our operations, the Conveyor Specialist will maintain a safe and healthy work environment, while respecting the company's values and ethics.
Key Accountabilities
- Create maintenance file data sheets;
- Comply with operating procedures and maintenance plans;
- Steer and constantly improve preventive maintenance procedures;
- Carries out minor maintenance, servicing, repairs or modifications to the conveyor;
- Install equipment and ensure its proper operation;
- Intervene rapidly in the event of a breakdown and diagnose the problem;
- Check and adjust equipment;
- Clean equipment and replace defective components;
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and/or replace mechanical and pneumatic components;
- Diagnose conveyor mechanical problems;
- Actively participates in improvement, retrofit, integration and new equipment installation projects;
- Is concerned first and foremost that his work will be done in compliance with current safety standards at all levels. When in doubt, does the necessary research to make sure he's doing the right thing.
Job Requirements
- Professional studies diploma (DEP) in electro-mechanical engineering;
- Minimum 3 years' experience in preventive maintenance of mechanical equipment;
- Ability to read technical drawings and diagrams;
- Knowledge of mechanical safety rules and standards;
- Knowledge of pneumatic systems;
- Good knowledge of the Microsoft suite;
- Good knowledge of computer-aided maintenance management software;
- Excellent reasoning and analytical skills;
- Attention to detail and meticulousness;
- Good command of French and English;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Physical ability to perform assigned work;
- Ability to function in a changing and dynamic work environment.
