Senior Analyst, Replenishment Processes - Dollarcity

Job Summary

As a member of the Replenishment team, the Senior Analyst will be responsible to identify gaps and potential improvements in the replenishment processes, document the processes, help to develop solutions, and support all implementations and rollouts of such improvements or new processes. In addition, the Senior Analyst will carry out various analysis related to replenishment and sales performance of different product categories, as well as develop new management tools and reports. They will also be responsible for ad-hoc business analysis with the replenishment scope to support the business and to identify potential process/tool improvements. This position is to support our South American partner, Dollarcity, with stores operating in Salvador, Guatemala, Colombia, and Peru. 

Key Accountabilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of existing replenishment processes and identify opportunities to enhance processes and reporting capabilities;
  • Evaluate current technology and systems utilized in the replenishment process and assess their effectiveness in meeting organizational need;
  • Recommend process improvements, automation tools, and technologies to streamline replenishment workflows and enhance efficiency to Replenishment leadership;
  • Implement recommended solutions, ensuring proper training, documentation, and support for stakeholders;
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of implemented replenishment processes;
  • Collaborate with other areas of the company to ensure that the processes associated with Replenishment align with processes in other sectors;
  • Maintain process documentation to ensure it is up to date, visible and always available;
  • Review sales and inventory forecasts at article and company levels;
  • Prepare various analysis and reports for buyers and management;
  • Use sound judgments to analyze results (versus historical and/or forecast) and provide explanations;
  • Create adhoc analysis in support of Replenishment business issues;
  • Identify system issues (SAP, BI, FileMaker), work with functional analysts/programmers to resolve it and test results; and
  • Create business requirements for new solutions and reports in SAP, BI-HANA, FileMaker support development, test results, and support implementation. 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or related field;
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in a similar role;
  • Experience in optimizing supply chain management, inventory replenishment, or process improvement. Experience in the retail environment is an asset;
  • Proficiency in Excel and Visio process mapping; 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to focus on solutions and improvements;
  • Able to deal with ambiguity and navigate a fast-paced environment; 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to stakeholders at all levels; and 
  • Strong problem solving skills combined with a keen attention to detail.
