Senior Analyst, Compensation & HR Analytics

We are currently looking for a Senior Analyst, Compensation and HR analytics to join our HR team. The candidate will report to the Senior Manager, Global Compensation, HR analytics and HRIS playing a pivotal role in shaping and supporting compensation strategies and delivering robust HR data analytics. In this role the candidate will provide strategic long-range planning and vision for compensations programs/practices for all Canada.
Key Accountabilities
Compensation:
- Support the development and refinement of compensation and benefits programs to align with business objectives and attract, retain, and motivate top talent.
- Provide analytical and advisory expertise on compensation, incentive and bonus programs, and annual salary review cycles nationwide.
- Conduct market benchmarking, job evaluations, and salary structure analyses to inform compensation decisions and ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
- Collaborate with external consultants and vendors to evaluate and administer benefits programs, including pension and health insurance plans.
- Partner with HR Business Partners to deliver insights and recommendations on compensation matters for management and non-management employees
Data Analytics and process optimization:
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across compensation, benefits, and HR systems processes; recommend and implement enhancements to drive efficiency, scalability, and operational excellence.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in data entry, master data maintenance, and reporting across HR systems.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of HR processes and tools that enhance operational efficiency and user experience.
- Provide data-driven insights to support HR strategy and decision making.
- Work in collaboration with finance to monitor salary mass and headcount.
- Work closely with ESG team on HR data and KPIs.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security across all HR systems.
- Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- +4 years of progressive experience in compensation management and data analytics.
- Experience with HR systems (e.g. SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM) and data analytics tools.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, reporting, and data-driven decision making.
- Familiarity with compensation structures, including salary surveys, job evaluations, and market pricing.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Fluent in French and English to support the business coast to coast
