Senior Advisor, Training & Development, Operational Effectiveness
Job Summary
The Senior Advisor, Training & Development, Operational Effectiveness plays a key role in enhancing operational capabilities through training, leadership development, engagement, performance management, and process improvement initiatives. The incumbent partners closely with HR, Operations, and Logistics leaders to identify business needs, develop practical solutions, and drive projects that strengthen leadership capacity, improve effectiveness, and support organizational growth.
Key Accountabilities
- Maintain and enhance existing tasks, initiatives and programs.
- Design and implement initiatives, projects, and trainings aligned to business needs.
- Lead projects from planning through execution, stakeholder alignment, budget management, and follow-up.
- Conduct needs analyses to identify business challenges, capability gaps, and improvement opportunities.
- Develop tools and resources.
- Facilitate workshops, training sessions, meetings, and working groups.
- Support change management, process improvement, systems implementation, and policy development.
- Partner with leaders, HR Business Partners, and internal stakeholders to deliver tailored solutions.
- Analyse data, monitor trends, and evaluate program effectiveness to drive continuous improvement.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Business, Human Resources, Psychology, etc.).
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in a similar role, preferably in retail.
- Fully bilingual in English and French (spoken and written) to support business partners across Canada.
- Experience designing and implementing programs, training, tools, and business solutions.
- Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of change management, process improvement, and continuous improvement.
- Strong ability to influence, collaborate, and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional projects from planning to implementation.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Insights Discovery or similar assessment tools is an asset.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% annually and possesses a valid passport, valid driver's license, and has access to a vehicle as needed.
