Designer, Network
Job Summary
As a Network Designer within the Network Architecture and Projects Delivery team, you will be playing a key role in delivering the network capabilities that enable business growth, modernization, and global expansion. Reporting to the Team Lead – Network Architecture, you will lead the technical design and hands-on implementation of complex enterprise network solutions across data center, campus, and cloud environments. The role requires a strong combination of architecture, engineering, and delivery discipline, with the ability to contribute immediately in a distributed, security-focused global enterprise environment.
Key Accountabilities
- Own the technical delivery of strategic network initiatives from requirements and solution design through implementation, validation, and transition to operations.
- Design and implement resilient enterprise connectivity across on-premises and cloud environments, supporting global scale, high availability, security, and application performance.
- Lead the deployment of Fortinet solutions, including global multi-hub SD-WAN, FortiGate, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer across physical and cloud environments.
- Design and implement Cisco data center and campus networks using technologies such as VXLAN, VRF, BGP, OSPF, enterprise switching and routing, and wireless LAN controllers.
- Build and integrate network infrastructure in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure to support cloud adoption, infrastructure modernization, and global connectivity.
- Partner with cloud, security, systems, applications, infrastructure, and operations teams to translate business and technical designs, implement plans, generate detailed network diagrams, test plans, and rollback procedures to support governance, change management, and operations readiness.
- Provide hands-on engineering leadership during implementation, testing, troubleshooting, optimization, and major project-related incidents.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience designing and implementing medium to large -scale enterprise network infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of network solutions from requirements through detailed design, implementation, testing, and production deployment.
- Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet enterprise environments, including large-scale global multi-hub SD-WAN and supporting tools FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer.
- Strong hands-on experience building and integrating network infrastructure in both Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure.
- Strong understanding of enterprise routing and switching, segmentation, high availability, network security, and hybrid-cloud connectivity.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex connectivity, routing, performance, and integration issues across distributed environments.
- Ability to develop clear technical recommendations and low-level design while working effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong communication, judgment, accountability, and collaborative skills, with the ability to operate independently in a project-driven environment.
- Relevant Cisco and Fortinet certifications are considered an asset, along with Google Cloud Platform and Azure experience.
