Inventory Manager

Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Distribution Center, the Manager will be responsible for managing distribution center inventory, resolving all inventory-related issues, ensuring processes are followed and maintaining regular communication with other departments.
 

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage and update CD inventory processes, including store inventory;
  • Communicate with various CD departments to communicate changes and optimize inventory accuracy;
  • Investigate and resolve all exceptions promptly;
  • Report all exceptions to the Inventory Control Financial Manager for correction;
  • Monitor and optimize the cycle counting process;
  • Liaise with head office inventory team, replenishment and IT team for inventory related processes and improvements (SAP and others);
  • Ensure that processes and controls are respected and followed by all employees;
  • Work closely/daily with receiving and shipping managers, and report any anomalies detected;
  • Manage, monitor and communicate key performance indicators and inventory results;
  • Monitor distribution variances, over/under cases, STO adjustments;
  • Manage items moved to 999-consom;
  • Audit 999 movements (reasons and procedure);
  • Manage showroom sampling process;
  • Monitor and improve repackaging process with respect to impact on inventoryl
  • Liaise with buyers on packaging issues, including units per packer, packaging quality, etc..;
  • Monitor and report damaged domestic goods at the receiving stage;
  • Compile data on problems caused by domestic vendors (scorecard);
  • Review suspicious inventory transactions via CD;
  • Implement and monitor a process for reporting damaged packaging.
  • Check/audit STO closure and D01 inventory.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in inventory, operations management or other relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in a similar position;
  • Ability to coordinate several activities at the same time;
  • Good knowledge of the Office suite, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Good communication skills;
  • Analytical, organized and detail-oriented;
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, high-volume environment.
