Functional Analyst, SAP WM LE

Job Summary

The Functional Analyst is responsible for optimizing and supporting business processes. He/she converts requests into IT solutions by developing and modeling processes. Assists with projects from design to implementation of SAP solutions and systems.  The WM-LE Functional Analyst deals with requests and incidents from the logistics customer's portfolio, and works in collaboration with the project office. He/she is fully involved in the development of the solution (analysis, writing, configuration, testing, communication, implementation and support).

Key Accountabilities

Process support:

  • Support SAP logistics customer incidents.
  • Investigate, analyze and resolve production system problems.
  • Advise and assist users with a view to improvement and innovation.
  • Develop a privileged relationship with business partners within the company, and translate their needs into technical requirements.
  • Anticipate issues and risks by implementing controls and associated action plans to secure production launches.
  • Actively monitor SAP production system processes and activities.

Implementing solutions:

  • Gather, analyze and document business requirements.
  • Define the estimate and draw up the development plan.
  • Propose, recommend and present value-added solutions.
  • Produce a graphical flow design document
  • Configure and customize the SAP WM-LE module.
  • Write functional specifications and pass them on to developers.
  • Write, execute and document unit and acceptance test scripts.
  • Prepare and deliver training to key users.
  • Communicate with customer and project office.
  • Upgrade existing documentation.
  • Plan data retention strategy.
  • Determine and participate in deployment strategy.
  • Ensure post-implementation support and stabilization.
  • Transfer knowledge to other team members.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in implementation and/or support as a functional analyst.
  • University degree in logistics or computer science.
  • Work experience in logistics and/or supply chain.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP's WM-LE module.
  • Knowledge of SAP transport management.
  • Knowledge of SAP programming language and debugging (ABAP).
  • Knowledge of standard interfaces (IDOC) with PI and EDI (X12).
  • Knowledge of SAP Fiori environment.
  • Knowledge of RF guns and associated architecture.
  • Good understanding of SAP's module integration concept (MM-FI).
  • Analytical, adaptive and innovative spirit.
  • Good interpersonal skills with users and other team members.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to manage time and priorities.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools. (Visio, Powerpoint, Excel)
  • Bilingualism (French and English).
