Business Analyst - AI and Business Transformation
Job Summary
AI and data are transforming how Dollarama operates – from streamlining business processes through AI and automation to modernizing how operations leaders access and act on information. As a Business Analyst – AI and Business Transformation, you will help turn business needs into practical solutions by supporting both the Agent Factory and the Store Operations Power BI transformation.
At the intersection of business, technology, and change management, you will help identify opportunities, shape solutions, and support their delivery and adoption across the organization. You will contribute end to end to real enterprise use cases – from understanding business problems and defining requirements, to designing AI-enabled workflows, supporting BI development, testing, documenting, and preparing solutions for deployment.
On the AI and automation side, you will contribute to solutions using Microsoft technologies such as Copilot Studio, Power Automate (AI Builder), and Power Apps. On the BI side, you will support the transformation of Store Operations reporting through Power BI and help turn data into actionable business insights. Key Accountabilities
• Partner with stakeholders to understand business problems, gather requirements, and translate needs into clear functional requirements for AI, automation, and BI initiatives.
• Design and build Copilot Studio agents, Power Automate workflows (with AI Builder), and Power Apps with AI enabled features.
• Support the Store Operations Power BI transformation by helping define reporting requirements, KPIs, and dashboard needs, and by coordinating with technical teams throughout delivery.
• Define test scenarios and acceptance criteria; validate solutions and support iterations based on business feedback and results.
• Prepare required delivery artifacts in alignment with governance and approval processes.
• Support change management and adoption activities, including stakeholder engagement, communications, training support, and rollout readiness.
• Prepare clear status updates, presentations, and recommendations for stakeholders across PMO, IT, Cybersecurity, and business teams.
Job Requirements
• 1–3 years of experience in business analysis, digital transformation, project delivery, or a similar role combining business and technology.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, information technology, analytics, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into clear requirements and support solutions through to delivery.
• Exposure to AI, automation, LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, or agent based approaches through work experience, coursework, or personal projects.
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) and Copilot Studio (asset).
• Familiarity with Power BI, including dashboards, KPIs, and business reporting concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage priorities and deadlines.
• Comfortable learning quickly, working with ambiguity, and adapting in a fast moving environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for analysis, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
