Analyst, POS

Job Summary

The POS Analyst is responsible for providing software and hardware support for the various Dollarama stores, including the implementation of new self-service checkouts.

Key Accountabilities

  • Prepare functional analysis for new developments;
  • Write development requests to suppliers;
  • Maintain contact with suppliers for new development requests and software/hardware defects, and ensure follow-up;
  • Ensure knowledge transfer to the call center and QA department regarding point-of-sale modifications;
  • Provide call center support for undocumented POS issues;
  • Update and provide documentation for the call center knowledge base;
  • Participate in the development of departmental norms, standards and procedures;
  • Provide quality products and services in compliance with established standards and procedures;
  • Ensure the quality and integrity of deliverables.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, industrial or software engineering or other related training.
  • Minimum 3 to 4 years experience in a functional analyst position;
  • Minimum 3 to 4 years' experience in the retail industry;
  • Asset: experience with, and good knowledge of, point-of-sale systems and operating systems;
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to manage several files simultaneously;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills;
  • Rigor and process orientation;
  • Customer service orientation;
  • Leadership skills;
  • Bilingualism (French and English).
