Analyst, POS
Job Summary
The POS Analyst is responsible for providing software and hardware support for the various Dollarama stores, including the implementation of new self-service checkouts.
Key Accountabilities
- Prepare functional analysis for new developments;
- Write development requests to suppliers;
- Maintain contact with suppliers for new development requests and software/hardware defects, and ensure follow-up;
- Ensure knowledge transfer to the call center and QA department regarding point-of-sale modifications;
- Provide call center support for undocumented POS issues;
- Update and provide documentation for the call center knowledge base;
- Participate in the development of departmental norms, standards and procedures;
- Provide quality products and services in compliance with established standards and procedures;
- Ensure the quality and integrity of deliverables.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, industrial or software engineering or other related training.
- Minimum 3 to 4 years experience in a functional analyst position;
- Minimum 3 to 4 years' experience in the retail industry;
- Asset: experience with, and good knowledge of, point-of-sale systems and operating systems;
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to manage several files simultaneously;
- Strong oral and written communication skills;
- Rigor and process orientation;
- Customer service orientation;
- Leadership skills;
- Bilingualism (French and English).
