Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis

Job Summary

We are looking for an Analyst, FP&A to join Dollarama. This role combines operational and corporate reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis, while supporting business partners across the organization. Working closely with senior FP&A team members, the successful candidate will contribute to recurring management and Board reporting, financial modelling, and ad hoc analyses supporting key business decisions.

Key Accountabilities

•    Prepare monthly operational reporting (period, and quarterly), including KPIs and performance drivers. 
•    Prepare capital expenditure reporting and analysis, including new store investment analysis, payback, and capitalized costs.
•    Prepare clear, concise presentations for senior leadership and the Board.
•    Play an active role in the annual budget process, including data preparation, scenario modelling, and presentation support.
•    Support the annual social audits, ESG scope 3 reporting, and AIF disclosure requirements.
•    Deliver ad hoc financial and operational analyses to support decision making.
•    Act as a finance partner to other departments for data requests, insights, and analytical support.
•    Continuously improve reporting processes and analytical tools.

Job Requirements

•    2+ years of experience in FP&A, operational finance, or a related analytical role.
•    Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
•    CPA designation (or in progress) preferred.
•    Rigour, attention to detail, and ability to manage recurring deadlines autonomously.
•    Good presentation and communication skills; comfortable interacting with business partners.
•    Advanced Excel skills; Power BI or similar tools are an asset.
•    Retail or operations focused finance experience is an asset.
•    Bilingual (French and English), spoken and written.
