Key Accountabilities
- Prepare the quarterly and annual financial statements, management reports and financial press releases in accordance with the IFRS;
- Assist the Financial Reporting team in preparing accounting memos on the group’s complex transactions, in accordance with the IFRS;
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns for Dollarama group entities;
- Assist in the preparation of tax provisions for Dollarama group entities;
- Participate in all month-end closing steps (journal entry in SAP, analysis and reconciliation of general ledger accounts);
- Extract reports and perform analyses of inventory data (cost of goods sold, store physical inventory results, provisions);
- Conduct monthly reviews of monthly and year-to-date results to provide visibility to teams, facilitate financial projections and provide value-added financial insights to improve results;
- Participate in the preparation and completion of periodic forecasts through data analysis using computer software;
- Support the optimization of capital structure and financing initiatives by evaluating different strategies to finance the company’s operations and growth, and preparing analyses and presentations for management and the Board of Directors;
- Participate in financial risk management (analyze the company’s exposure to market, credit and operational risks and help implement strategies to reduce them);
- Help manage the company’s cash flow and supervise short-term investments;

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting (or in progress);
- Report card required;
- A strong interest for retail and business;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Agility and initiative;
- Organizational and planning skills;
