AI Automation Intern - Business Innovation
Job Summary

As one of the largest retailers in Canada, Dollarama operates 1,700+ stores nationwide, creating a unique environment where automation and AI can drive meaningful, organization wide impact across both corporate and store operations.
Joining Dollarama’s Agent Factory places you at the frontline of enterprise automation. You’ll work on AI powered agents that integrate into day to day business operations and support teams across most departments, helping move AI from concept to production while supporting business decisions.
Working within the Project Management Office (PMO) – Business Innovation, the Intern will join Dollarama’s Copilot Studio Agent Factory team as a hands on builder. You’ll help turn business needs into production ready automations using Copilot Studio and Power Automate (AI Builder). From designing and orchestrating end to end workflows to testing, documenting, and preparing solutions for deployment, you’ll gain first hand experience delivering AI powered agents that operate safely and reliably at enterprise scale – in close collaboration with PMO, IT, Cybersecurity, and business teams.
Key Accountabilities
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for agent and automation use cases.
• Design and build Copilot Studio agents and Power Automate workflows (with AI Builder).
• Develop test scenarios and acceptance criteria; test, validate, and iterate agents and workflows based on results and user feedback.
• Support deployment readiness by preparing required artifacts (documentation, test evidence, deployment notes) aligned with governance and approval paths.
• Prepare clear status updates and presentations for stakeholders across PMO, IT, and business teams.
Job Requirements
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• Exposure to LLM tooling, prompt engineering, RAG, or agent based approaches through coursework, work experience, or personal projects.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage priorities and deadlines.
• Comfortable learning quickly, working with ambiguity, and adapting in a fast moving environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Assets (Nice to Have)
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Copilot Studio).
• Interest in enterprise automation and agent based solutions, including connectors, testing and validation, and monitoring concepts.
