Senior Manager, Distribution Centre

Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Director of the Distribution Center, the Senior Manager, Operations plays a key strategic role in the oversight, optimization, and evolution of a high-volume, fast-paced distribution center.
A large-scale leader, the incumbent is responsible for orchestrating operations across two shifts, mobilizing an extended management structure, and ensuring sustainable performance aligned with the company’s strategy. Both a strategist and a hands-on leader, they contribute directly to operational excellence, capacity growth, and the continuous transformation of operations.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead, engage, and develop management teams to meet and exceed key operational, financial, and health & safety KPIs.
  • Oversee day-to-day distribution center operations while maintaining a medium- and long-term strategic vision.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and transformation projects related to processes, technologies, and equipment in collaboration with the operational excellence team.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning of the distribution center, including production capacity, workforce planning, automation, and capital investments.
  • Participate in budget management and financial performance analysis, identifying optimization opportunities.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (transportation, IT, finance, HR, procurement, stores).
  • Develop talent, strengthen leadership capabilities among managers, and promote a culture of performance, collaboration, and integrity.
  • Champion a proactive health and safety leadership approach and foster its adoption at all levels of the distribution center.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (MBA is an asset).
  • Minimum of 7 years of operations management experience in a high-volume distribution, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience managing large teams and leading transformation projects.
  • Strong command of operational KPIs and analytical tools.
  • Hands-on experience with WMS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Functional bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
